Some Helpful Tips to Make Your Moves Convenient

Moving or relocating can be extremely challenging if not planned and executed properly. Even the slightest misses can result in significant losses. Under such circumstances, you may require assistance from a locally-owned and operated moving business that has a detailed understanding of your area to ensure there are no misses at all. If you are in need of such professional movers, Anywhere Moving Inc can help.

Our family-owned business has compiled a list of tips that come in handy when you decide to move:

  • Spread your packing tasks over several weeks before the final moving day in case you are planning to do the packing all by yourself.

  • Prepare a box of essentials which may include toiletries, a change of clothes, snacks, scissors, dish soaps, dishcloths, towels, cutlery, garbage bags, and important papers.

  • Tape all the packed boxes on the top and assign them labels per your room placement at the new location.

  • Gather the small parts and screws from the disassembled furniture, label and put them in a plastic bag.

  • Don’t pack flammable items such as cleaning and corrosive fluids, aerosol cans, propane tanks, and paint or thinners.

  • Defrost and clean your fridges along with emptying fuel from lamps, barbecues, lawnmowers and other power tools at your disposal site.

  • Notify all the pertinent government agencies, banks, water, telephone, gas, cable and internet providers of your move before your billing date.

  • Transport your prized possessions such as jewelry, money and other valuables in your own vehicles.
